A: During his visits to Central and Southeast Asian countries in September and October 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping put forward major initiatives to jointly build the “ Silk Road Economic Belt ” and the “ 21st Century Maritime Silk Road ” (“ Belt and Road ”), which received great attention from the international community.It is committed to strengthening ties, establishing new trade routes and creating business opportunities for China and more than 60 countries along the Trans-Asian, Europe, Middle East and African routes.On November 17, 2016, the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution A/71/9, which was first written into the “ Belt and Road Initiative, which was unanimously endorsed by 193 Member States.
